Clay Flutes and Ocarinas by Nashtavewa

Clay Flutes and Ocarinas by NashtavewaAll Clay Flutes are handmade from terra cotta clay. They are carefully sculptured, tuned, and finished with a 12 hour firing to create a one-of-a-kind instrumental art piece.

Nash belongs to the Bene Walash (Zapotec) Culture from the Sierra North of Oaxaca, Mexico. His flute journey began as a child. As a kid, his parents made him small cane flutes, clay whistles and drums to play with. Surrounded by family artists, he learned to make his own flutes and whistles.

Clay Flutes and Ocarinas by Nashtavewa
In 1998, he met Guillermo Martinez a renowned Native American Flute and Drum maker. For about 7 years, he apprenticed under Guillermo Martinez where he learned to make Native American Flutes and Drums. Now that he has mastered the craft he is making them for you. We have added the following flutes and ocarinas to our product line for your enjoyment.
Mayan Face Wind Maker
These wind makers are a fantastic way to embellish your music with the sound of wind.  Simply blow into the mouth-hole and out comes the voice of the wind.  With air pressure you can create the soft sound of a breeze or the howl of a windstorm.   It all depends on how much air you push through the sound hole.  Nash painstakingly hand molds each Mayan face to craft a unique piece of playable art. Available in natural terra cotta finish or glazed finish.
Jaguar Clay Ocarina

Turtle Ocarina Necklace

Regarding your cases. I had chance to see a 4" diameter case from It was made well, but i did not care for the fleece
lining (it puts fuzzy things on your flute socks) or the weight. That case
was heavy! Plus I like the design where one can remove/unsnap the shoulder strap. The bag had the shoulder strap sewn on. Also, the top zip lid had to be peeled upward to do the zipping, it then had to be peeled down and had two velcro tabs to keep it there. I much prefer your method of the lid being sewn on and lipped over.
Its simply more fitted/finished looking. Everyone who has chance to see any of my Oregon flute store cases has to touch them. They simply stare and keep talking about how nice they are and how cute or neat it is (the Hummingbird).
Just a small pat on the back.
Thankyou for being in business
