The Stellar Flute (G) is such a relaxing and fun instrument to play due to its versatility. The Native American flute is such an exciting instrument to play and hear because of the various bird calls one can create or the sounds one can imitate from nature. It is a true escape from the modern world. For myself, the instrument " figuratively " transports me to another time and place". It is a "cool" instrument to play. In due time, I will be adding to my Flute collection. The Native American Flute is the reason, I am exploring Bird Whistles.

Hi: My wife, Sandy Powell, ordered a flute bag for Christmas. I just wanted to tell you that it is not only beautiful but really does the job of protecting the flutes. I travel to the river each day with my dogs to "toot." A few weeks ago I laid one of the flutes down while I played another one and a neighbors dog chewed the idle one. Not any more. Thanks.

And it’s so portable! I don’t need a big long bulky bag to carry it!

I have invested alot of money in my Native American Flutes, some I have purchased through the Oregon Flute Store , recently I purchased a Honker Flute case by Laughing Mallard and if you are as serious about protecting your investment then I strongly urge you to do as I did and purchase a Flute Case by Laughing Mallard. Well constructed , by far the best I have seen. As a performer I need not worry about getting my Flutes from show to show without worry about getting banged up, The Honker Does the job.

Your cases do so much more than just protect my flutes - they give me a good feeling every time I look at them, and I get about as many comments from people about the cases as I do about the flutes. I was hiking in the Grand Canyon and after stopping to play was all packed up and just about to head on down the trail when a woman approached me. She saw the Hummingbird and asked if I had been playing the flute music they heard as they were hiking down the trail. It turned out that she and her husband had hiked to that overlook to scatter their son's ashes on the anniversary of his passing, and she asked me to stay and play for them while they did that. So the Hummingbird has added a lot to my flute experience in many ways!

My first flute from the Oregon Flute Store arrived today, a black bamboo flute in E by James Galliland. It plays with beautiful overtones and a wonderful, lively breath. It easily reaches two notes above the octave, bright and true. It doesn't seem to get as wet as soon as my hardwood flutes. I also have a hardwood E flute and while I love its tone this bamboo flute really moves me. It's a bit quieter and a bit softer and it invites the ear in to listen. This flute is also so very beautiful to look at, and it weighs next to nothing.

Thank you so much for all your help and guidance, for packing and shipping this flute with such care, and for giving artisans like James Gilliland the best possible kind of place to bring their gifts to the public.

A Great Experience
I just want to say want a great experience it has been ordering through the Oregon Flute Store. My Brent Haines Oregon Spirit flute arrived nice and safe and I had so much fun playing it while I was in the US. I was fortunate to be able to play out in the woods under the full moon with fireflies around me in a clearing in the woods, and down by a lake while a thunderstorm raged in the distance - it made the flute playing even more special. The flute quiver helped my flute make it back to England in one piece, and great that it fits in the overhead storage bins. Thank you JoAnn for all your help, I hope to keep doing business with you for years to come.
